Collection: The LIZZIE
Named for the woman who turned cattle into a kingdom.
Elizabeth “Lizzie” Williams started as a schoolteacher, keeping the books for the cattlemen getting rich off the trade. She watched them closely, learned the business inside and out, and decided there was no reason she couldn’t do it too. In 1871, when women weren’t supposed to own cattle at all, she registered her own brand. She became the Cattle Queen of Texas, not because anyone handed her the title, but because she built something undeniable.
So OF COURSE her name belongs on the boldest thing I’ve ever made.
A mini caftan with a flowing, oversized drape and dramatic open sleeves. Architectural, unapologetic, made to be felt the second you walk into a room. Each one is constructed from rosettes of a vintage yo-yo quilt, hand-stitched by American women in the 1920s-1960s. The rosettes are never cut. They’re released from the quilt and given a second life.
No two are alike. No two ever will be.
